OUR STORY

IT STARTED WITH A ROAD TRIP

In the summer of 2018, a father and son hitched up a trailer and pointed it north — 15,000 miles from Orange County to Alaska and back. The whole point was the open road.

The Problem

But everything started breaking

The axle snapped the moment we crossed into Alaska. The adventure became a thousand miles of roadside engineering — a leaf spring braced with wood, then steel, breaking again every 500 miles. Every coupling was a gamble. Every passing semi was a threat. We kept going.

The Insight

Then, it hit us

The leaf spring was our breaking point — but it cracked open something bigger. The sway, the wasted fuel, the white-knuckle coupling — all traced to the one component no one had bothered to rethink. The axle was our problem. The hitch was everyone's.

Our Approach

Why TOWERA?

We rebuilt the towing interface from first principles — physics before features, automotive-grade tolerances before promises, and thousands of validation miles before a single claim.

Engineering-First

Every claim is grounded in physics and proven on the road — engineered from first principles, validated over thousands of miles.

Automotive-Grade Manufacturing

Every unit is built to automotive-grade tolerances — materials, machining, and assembly held to spec.

Direct to Driveway

The V1 retrofit kit ships direct via e-commerce with a universal mount — no dealer markup, no OEM wait time.
The Vision

Our Vision for the Future

The road that broke our trailer started something bigger than a better part. We're proving the mechanics with V1, adding intelligence with V2, licensing the architecture to the automakers — until sway, white-knuckle coupling, and the gamble of every mile are history, and active load management is simply how the world tows. That's the future we limped home to build.

The Team

Who We Are

TowEra is built by engineers, manufacturers, and operators from outside the trailer industry — heads-down people who let the work speak. Every claim on this site, we've proven on the road.

Outsiders by design

Engineers and builders, not a legacy trailer brand. We came to towing from first principles, with no sacred cows to protect.

How we work

Physics first, proven on the road. Nothing ships until it's held to automotive-grade tolerances and validated over thousands of towing miles.

What we're building

A new standard for the towing interface — starting with a patent-pending retrofit kit, and aimed at active load management becoming simply how the world tows.
